The Road
Chapter 1
The road was wining around the hill like a snakes which suffocates its its pray before devouring it. The dust and the heat made the afternoon unbearable, sweat was dripping down through the edge of the nostrils as he stood their for a a minute gasping for the air, bending his body towards the earth. His name was Ravi, a man who never feared life, a man who enjoyed the life in its purest form, a man who never took the life as serious one. For him the life was all about love, sharing the joy, searching fr knowledge and people. He was born in a poor family whose parents were farmers who used to work for the land lord ,they sowed the seeds of hope but they reaped the poverty.
Ravi, he never felt sad about their situation, life for him was just an experiment, life for him was a surprise the years of poverty has shaped his heart and mind to absorb the shocks of life and enjoy the small happiness of life. He never complained about working in the paddy fileds with the dark mud wrapped around his legs, the mud which has made the designs on the face, he enjoyed every bit of life when he felt tired he used to stand, facing sun closing his eyes feeling the cool wind, which passed away caressing his dark cheek, ears and hair. His life was clourful but the major color that painted the walls of his dreams were the clour of the mud dark, stained, with rotten and stinking. Hope was the best food he had in his child hood and also during his entire life, wealth was never in his dreams but he he had a naive heart, with pure love and affection which cared every people in the world but he realized it when it was thrashed into thousand pieces for the first and last time.
For him life was all about search , searching for the knowledge, love, friends, happiness and the peace. He was a walker in the world where people ran for their love, money, dreams, partners, happiness, life and even for the things which where absolutely unnecessary. So he never finished the run , he never tried to. When Divya left him she said
" You are not fit for this world, I can't trust a man who never chases his dreams" He did'nt utter a single word, he never looked in her eyes, he bowed his head down stared at the red floor tiles and he stood there till she left the house. He couldn't identify the whether it was tears or the water which rolled down through his cheeks while bathing. He laid down on his bed for days, thinking about her every moment, he was becoming a loose kite, drifting away in the wind and in the memories of her. He smoked, drunk till he fainted, played the music out in loud, talked with people hoping that one day he will get over it. But he never would.
Chapter 2
Life is a war, the war between people, the war between hearts, the war between the philosophies, war between minds, we fight it always knowingly or unknowingly, she might not be the best for you, she had chosen the best for her and you did what you can for her, Mary told him to comfort him, to relieve him from his pain. She poured him a glass of brandy with two ice cubes in it with a smile, the smile of sympathy, the smile of help, she was a rebel in all the sense, a girl who stood against the flow, a woman who swam against the waves, a woman who changed man like she changed dress, a woman did not care any one but she was soft to him, she supported him when ever he fell down, he did not understand the reason, he never asked her the reason and she did not bother to tell him.
Those where the days when he felt for the first time in his life, the time ticks, time crawls and life can become really slow, the days he tried to erase Divya from his memory, but she remained there like a cave painiting battling the storms, rain and heat which was inside his mind. Those where the days he felt that he was weak like all the other human beings, those where the days he understood that man can eat food without tasting it, those where the days that he identified some times some people can influence his life. Those where the days he checked his mobile so many times, those where the days he weighted in vein hoping to see her face at the door, but her journey was an endless one, an escape from his life. He never blamed her because, accroding to him "relationships should be terminated on the basis of truths rather than building it up on the basis of lies which eventually leads to catastrophes."
He felt the cold even when the sun was shining above his head, again he became a lonely figure in the crowd, but he was man who saw the light even at the end of the never ending tunnel.
The sun was red and big when he went to the park, he recalled that he never looked at the sun or at the nature for such a long time after meeting her, at some point in life she had became his world, as the shadows grew, he saw the wooden bench which was covered with white and green mosses, it produced a creaking sound when he sat on it, the years of rudeness of the weather had made it very week and the wood had a smell , for a second he thought his heart is now older than this would and it smells more badly than the wood. He hold both of his hand together
