Rajeev Sasidharan Young Indian entrepreneur


Rajeev  Sasidharan

Rajeev Ettanickuzhiyil Sasidharan (born December 18, 1985) is an Indian Entrepreneur. He is best known for founding the website www.roadcompass.com . Rajeev is the Managing director and CEO of the  website www.roadcompass.com .
Rajeev was inspired by the success of Orkut.  His initial effort to start a social network during the year 2005 was a failure due to the lack of knowledge about the industry   and also due to the lack of funds.

Early life

Rajeev was born in 1985 in Palai, Kerala, India.  He is the son of retired deputy Jailor E.N Sasidharan and his mother C.G Sukumary was a teacher by profession.  He and his younger brother Sajeev Sasidharan were brought up in  Alapuram a small village in the state of Kerala. Rajeev was raised as a Hindu but afterward he became an Atheist. He did His schooling at Alapuram Government Lower primary school and also at St.Peteres Higher Secondary school Elanji, Kerala, India.  

Early years and College life

After finishing the school Rajeev joined for the Bachelor’s degree in Commerce at St. Thomas College Palai.  After finishing the bachelor’s degree in first class he joined for Masters in Business Administration at Jaibharath College Perumbavoor, Kerala.  The Business Administration course helped him to find his  real potential. It was during this time he has realized his potential to become an entrepreneur.  During the year 2010 he went to study in Sunderland University UK for the Maters in International Business.

Career

Rajeev began his entrepreneurial life during the college days at Jaibharath College in, where he sold uniforms for his batch mates. He invested the profit form the uniform business into share trading which also was a success. Later during the year 2014 he started used cars selling which has provided him with 20% profit.
During the year 2010 he joined the Orridge PLC as a stock counter. Later during the same year he joined Poundland PLC UK as customer sales assistant. In 2012 he joined Marks and Spencer as sales assistant. 


Rajeev started thinking about a website during the year of 2010, after the initial failure in 2005.   He started working on his idea for a website, the interest in travelling and photography inspired him to develop a website for travelling called www.roadcompass.comThe idea was converted from paper to reality in the year 2014 but it was failure due to the lack of skills from the development team. Later the website was redesigned and launched in the year 2015.

Politics

Rajeev Sasidharan has never specified his political views but he has some slight interest in the new political party AAP.

Personal life

He currently lives with his parents in his home town Alapauram.
